The Boyfriend Blazer Remix for Spring

If you know me, you probably know I am a HUGE fan of the boyfriend blazer. It's such an easy way to add a little pop, or even warmth for a night out, to your outfit. Even though black is a year round staple (especially in LA), with spring finally here, and summer knocking on the door, it's time to lighten up a bit. So... the boyfriend blazer is getting a makeover - in cool, creamy, neutral tones.

Throwing a neutral blazer on over a sundress, a pair of skinny jeans and a white tee, or even with a mini skirt or shorts, is a simple way to add instant feminine flair... and the perfect dose of chic.

Several celebrity fashionistas have already been sporting this toned down look, without the toned down sex appeal. I can't think of a better staple to add to your closet this season.

I featured a beautiful blazer from See by Chloe in my Neutral Remix (above) to show the versatility of this look, but there are a ton of more affordable versions to rock that are just as fabulous. This light linen coat from Charles Gray at Nordstrom below is just as posh, just a little more practical on the pennies.

I absolutely love this classy look, and I can't wait to trade my black blazer in for something a little more fresh this season!

Make Waves in Juicy Swim

Several years ago I was OBSESSED with Juicy Couture. I just had to have all the trendy velour jumpsuits (in almost every hue), I scoured E-Bay daily for the best deals on their handbags and accessories, I bought overpriced diaper bags for family and friends, and I even indulged in their ultra-feminine line of stationary and knick-knacks. As time passed I eventually grew out of my Juicy phase and hadn't really been following their fashion anymore... until recently.

Walking through the mall the other day I found myself drawn to the Juicy store and their amazing window displays. After stepping inside the magical doll-like wonderland, I began to wonder... how did I ever fell out of love with this line?

Don't get me wrong, not everything created by P&G is suitable to my taste or lifestyle, but for the most part, their Sugar N' Spice feminine flare is right up my alley.

I particularly love their new line of swimwear. They hit the retro nail on the head, and since I'm such a sucker for all things vintage and girly, I am (still) totally crushing on their bathing suits and cover ups. Here is a photo of me a few years ago rocking a Juicy terry bandeau bikini...

I can't wait till it's just a little bit warmer outside and I can make a SPLASH in one of Juicy's newest adorable suits. I especially love this one-piece featured in my Make Waves mash-up below. Pair it with a sexy cover up, strappy sandals, vintage sunnys, tousled beach hair, beach tote, bronzer, boba tea, and a great book, and you'll be ready to relax in style. If you're fair like me, don't forget your Dermalogica sunscreen!!
