American Archive: The Sweet Spot

I just love it when you find a sweet little fashion score, or even better, a super-sweet store packed with multiple fashion scores! Today I stumbled across American Archive, a jam-packed ebay store filled with tons of vintage pieces, ranging from the 1950's to the 1990's. If you have a love for all things vintage, much like myself, than American Archive is a little piece of heaven for you too.

Here are just a few of my AA favorites, but I could probably go on forever...

Wild for Pamela Love's Grungy Glam

I've been really into bold, edgy, statement-making jewelry lately, and Pamela Love is my new favorite runner on the jewelry track. Her pieces are all very cutting edge, with a touch of rock and roll, and an overdose of fierce.

The line totally reminds me of Elizabeth and James jewelry, which I'm just as wild for, that features snakes, feathers, twigs and vines.

Loving Winter (Kate) in the Summer

I've said it time and time again... I am totally crushing on the whole hippie chic/bohemian vibe this summer. Call me a broken record, but I absolutely LOVE Nicole Richie's line, Winter Kate. I have been seeing celebrities everywhere rocking her silk cardigans, and I am totally jealous! They are perfect for summer, and can even transition into fall as a layered piece. They come in several different prints... all equally scrumptious!

I am totally envisioning shorts, with knit tights, and chunky wedges for fall! How amazing is this little mash up I've created below??

What I Wore Wednesday

As promised, here is the 2nd edition of What I Wore Wednesday! I worked today, and it was very warm outside, so my attire was pretty casual. Today's ensemble is very similar to last Wednesday's outfit, so now I'm thinking maybe I should have fooled you with something from earlier this week!! I hope you'll forgive me. This new little ritual is still a work in progress, and I can assure you it will get better in time.

It was absolutely gorgeous outside this evening, so why not stay outside and play with my boys for awhile? Summertime... I love you! ♥

By the way, if you aren't already an Ash Hearts Fash follower, make sure you come on board! My Summer Lovin' Giveaway is still running (through July 1st), and I'd hate for you to miss out on the chance to win a lovely purse. Also, stay tuned for another AMAZING Giveaway from a very SPECIAL designer... I'm so excited!! ♥

Loving Asymmetrical

No one has ever called me straight edge... I'm a little quirky. I like my clothes like my hair: asymmetrical. Alexander Wang has my back.

Pair these looks with a chunky wedge, bootie, or a motorcycle boot to add your own quirky SASS! My personal favorite designer on the shoe front at the moment is Jeffrey Campbell. They all fit my budget, and my quirky style!!

Many thanks to Alexander and Jeffrey for keeping it street!

Rediscovering love at first sight...

I was actually over the whole Maxi Dress phenomenon by the time this summer hit. I had totally started crushing on the latest trend: the Maxi Skirt. Well, that was until I rediscovered the most beautiful bohemian Maxi Dresses by Gyspy05.

I first stumbled across Gypsy05 when I saw Hills star Audrina Patridge rocking their drool-worthy Zoe dress last year. I LOVED the line so much that I featured them in my column and added several of their pieces to my personal "wish list". As time passed I had nearly forgotten about the gorgeous line, until yesterday when I saw a beautiful "hippie chic chick" sporting their Poloma Dress (as seen below on Taylor Momsen). I ws drooling all over again.

The styles to choose from on their site are endless.... Short and long variations that are all to die for. How amazing is this Hayley Silk Maxi? Paired with an over-sized belt, as shown here, it is the epitome of summer LOVE.

Gyspy05 is serving up a lot more than just Maxi Dresses. They have an awesome selection of short rompers, pant jumpsuits, shorts, tanks, skirts, and everything in between. Here are just a few more of my favorites...

It didn't take long for me to fall in LOVE with Gyspy05 all over again.

Hey, pass me that wish list... I have some pretty little things to add.

Summer Lovin' Giveaway!

I was recently introduced to a local designer named Jessica ("Ru") Galbreath, of Ru Fabricates. I loved her line of HANDMADE handbags so much that I featured her in my column. As a thank you, the lovely designer has teamed up with Ash Hearts Fash in hosting my Summer Lovin' Giveaway!

The giveaway begins today and runs through July 1st. To be in the running for your very own Ru Wristlet in Graceful Vine, all you have to do is FOLLOW my blog (through Google Friend Connect on the lower right hand side of my blog), and then let me know where and when you purchased your FAVORITE handbag by placing a comment on this post! On July 1st I will be picking a winner through random.org, and will contact the lucky reader directly.

Can't wait to see which one of my readers has "got this in the bag"! Good luck, and as always, thanks for your continued support! ♥

What I Wore Wednesday

So, I'm trying my hand at a new ritual here... I'm calling it What I Wore Wednesday. Each Hump Day I plan on posting a picture of the outfit I wore that day, or just in case I'm a total bum, my favorite outfit that I wore that week. Since my new tradition begins today, I'll share what I wore to work with you!

Please excuse the poor photo quality. I had no intention to use it for this purpose. I promise I will make a better effort next week.

Romper: FCUK, Shoes: Frye Sage Trapunto Sandal, vintage bead necklace, and Essie Rose Bowl nail lacquer.

I've had this romper for 2 years (thank you Tashana Boutique), but this is actually only the 2nd time I've worn it. With the recent romper craze, and since it's a million degrees outside, I figured it was time to bust it out... and I'm happy I did! Not only was I comfortable, but I felt just like a kid again! ♥
