Pale is the New Tan Giveaway!

I'm the first to admit that before a big event like a wedding, a party, a charity event, or a summer vacation I often times will make a pit stop at the local salon for some Airbrush Tanning. I mean, who doesn't look better with a nice healthy glow?? With that said, I'm also the first to admit that I never, I repeat NEVER, spend an extended length of time in the sun without a heavy layer of SPF. As a licensed Esthetician, and as a girl with several cases of skin cancer in her family, I know the direct (evil) effects of sun damage all too well.

Now that winter is officially behind us, it's time to step up our sunscreen game, and get on board with the latest trend: youthful skin. We may love our designer leather handbags, but no one wants to look like one!

I have been hooked on Dermalogica skincare for years, and their SPF skincare collection, Daylight Defense, is by far the best sun protection system to have ever landed in my beach bag!

The Solar Defense Booster SPF 30 is my favorite product in the SPF line, and fans like Fergie, Gwyneth Paltrow and Nicole Richie agree. You can simply add the serum to your daily moisturizer or makeup for an instant boost of protection, or just wear it solo as your primary defense.

Some other favorites from the collection include the Multivitamin Bodyblock SPF 20, which is both nourishing and moisturizing, and the Solar Shield SPF 15, which is a convenient stick that can be used on your face, lips and ears, and can easily be tossed in your purse.

Ever forget the block and feel the burn? Well, lucky for you, Dermalogica has an awesome After Sun Repair, which not only reduces the discomfort, but it also helps reduce the damage. This product is also great to keep in your tool kit for post waxing!

As a thank you to all my Ash Hearts Fash readers, Dermalogica has teamed up with me to run a fun GIVEAWAY! One LUCKY reader will win a FREE Daylight Defense Kit, which includes my 4 favorite items listed above, for all your summer travels!

The promotion starts today, 5/11/2010, and will run for 2 weeks, ending on 5/25/2010. All you have to do is register as a FOLLOWER on my blog, and then leave a comment on this entry with your name and the number of road trips you plan on taking this summer! At the end of the contest, I'll pull one name out of a (very stylish) hat and I'll announce the winner here on my blog! I'll also contact the winner directly for an address to ship your kit to.

Thanks for playing... and GOOD LUCK!

XOX,

  6. I've heard great things about Dermalogica but have never tried more than a sample size of moisturizer which really isn't enough for me to make my own opinion about it. Would love to give it a try for a trip to the beach this summer and then a road trip to the mountains!

  7. I would love to get my hands on that Dermalogica! Would use it all year round in Denver and, of course, during our trip to the Carolinas. Re: roadtrips--there will be plenty to the Rocky Mountains! Thanks, Ashley!
